About this course
The first step in designing a product that people can interact with safely and effectively is to understand the product’s users. This often involves conducting user research to fully understand users’ needs and preferences.
This course describes user research and its benefits. It also explains and provides examples of user research methods, such as contextual inquiries and diary studies. Upon completion of this course, you will be able to: (1) define user research, (2) explain what product developers gain from conducting user research, (3) describe different user research methods and when to use each method, (4) describe how to conduct diary studies, (5) describe how to conduct contextual inquiries.
