Michael Wiklund co-founded Wiklund Research & Design in 2005, which UL Solutions acquired in 2012. He served as the team’s general manager for the ensuing decade, leading it to become the world’s largest service provider to medical and pharmaceutical product manufacturers. In early 2023, Wiklund began leading the Life Science Industry Practice division of UL Solutions, building on the company’s deep history and record of accomplishment in this domain. A UL Corporate Fellow, he has over 35 years of experience delivering human factors engineering (HFE) services to life science companies and teaching graduate and undergraduate level courses in HFE. He’s also authored and contributed to many HFE-related books, articles and standards. Wiklund also serves as a senior advisor to Emergo by UL’s HFR&D team, providing deep insights from his decades at the forefront of HFE.
